The list of skills required, for both of these fields, are extensive. Skills such as C++, Java and PHP, Identity and access management, Subnetting, DNS, encryption technologies and standards, VPNs, VLANs, VoIP and others are the skills that an employer would be looking for.

There are many certificates that one would want to pursue before they applied for a career as a Security Engineer and as a Security Analyst.
