“I think you just have to be authentic and whatever kind of way that’s essential of what it should be about.” As this quote said by Annina Roescheisen, an German-Slovenian multimedia artist, she explains that in order to be an artist you don’t need an education, you only need to “authentic” and to be able to express your opinions and feelings. Even though artists don’t get paid enough, becoming a multimedia artist or animator is a worthwhile career because they can express their opinions and be independent.
Even though artists seem to only need talent and creativity, they also need to have some specific skills and abilities. According to “27-1014 Multimedia Artists and Animators.” U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics, some of the specific skills and abilities are, to know how to design, communications and media, fine arts, english language, customer and personal service, and Computers and Electronics. “The Pros & Cons of Being a Animator.” Career Trend says that “Animators may have to work long hours, particularly those employed by a company. Their work schedule can exceed 50 hours per week and when deadlines are approaching” and that self-employed artist and animators might have some issues with money “Self-employment has some downsides for animators. The cost of equipment and supplies is covered by the self-employed animator.” Animators and multimedia artists have to work for long hours, self-employment have to buy their own equipment, which is really expensive.
