What motivates someone to do something cannot be determined by reading a book or looking at a graph. What motivates someone is unique to them and no one does a task or job for the same reason. This also applies in our personal lives, we stay motivated at work for different reasons and our managers help us to stay motivated. No organization sets out to fail or be unsuccessful; everyone wants to succeed in today’s highly competitive market. For an organization to be successful they need to have highly motivated employees to help them succeed because “the success of an organization depends largely on human capital and its motivating factors (Hauser 2014). When employees are willing to work, they work harder and more effectively “motivation is the art of getting people to do what you want them to do because they want to do it” (Achim, Dragolea, Balan, 2013). In order for organizations to get their employees motivated, they need to create the proper environment “creating an adequate climate for performance growth should be the concern of any manager who directly or indirectly engages in maximizing the results of his subordinates” (Achim, Dragolea, Balan, 2013). Within and organization “motivation is not a goal in itself but should serve to support a firm 's goals” if they work together they can achieve their goals (Osterloh, Frey 2000). Organizations should work with their employees to stay motivated to perform in a “coordinated and goal oriented way” (Osterloh, Frey 2000). If organizations do not keep their employees motivated they will lose money in the long run because it will take employees longer to get a job done because they are not motivated to do it at a faster or more efficient
