Rage is a huge social gathering for all matrixes that year. The basic idea behind rage is to have fun and de stress after a long year. As well as to create new memories with friends and expand your social circle. The general trend when attending rage is that you go to pre drinks before you make your way to the various clubs. Parents view rage as an event that will result in horrific accidents. Rage is not what it used to be as it is no longer a safe environment. Rage can be seen as a rite of passage as you have final gained proper independence as you are official responsible for your own actions and choices. Red Frogs provide support for Matrics. The Red Frog call centre is based in Umhlanga and is a vital first point of contact for many of the Matric’s around the country. The Red Frogs also provide the service of making pancakes and provide coffee for people who have acquired too much alcohol. Red Frogs is a volunteer-based organisation that offers medical and other support to the ragers, they have more than 200 volunteers out in full force. Red Frogs also walk the teenagers home and do patrols on the beaches, having direct access to security and medical services.
Greg Walsh a main organizer of the Rage Festival stated that at least 800 security staff are working across all venues this year. The local police force will help contribute to protect the many people who attend rage.

Car-pooling would be an efficient and cost effective way to travel to the resort. Attending Option 2 would be better suited to my character as it complies more with my values and personality. This would influence my decision to not attend rage as being surrounded by intoxicated people who lack good judgement does not appeal to me as an individual. My personality is more suited to option 2 as it will be with my close friends thus strengthening the relationship. No peer pressure will be applied thus no irresponsible actions will occur. Attending option 2 will impact my goals in a positive manner as there is a decrease in the chance of an embarrassing event to occur or an action that can result in your life being placed in danger.
