Power.A blessing. A curse. A feeling that can change a person in a matter of minutes to days. People can act as if they have power when in reality they really don’t. Many people might agree that even though Macbeth at first wasn’t to sure about killing Duncan that there was a person who changed and cleared his mind to make a decision: Lady Macbeth, King Duncan, and even Macbeth himself. By examining, Lady Macbeth’s conversations between herself and Macbeth it has become clear that she has told Macbeth what to do and how to do it , and she has guilted or persuaded him in manipulative ways to do the things he didn’t want to do.This demonstrates that some people believe that they can dictate and rule over people. By doing that it has made Macbeth do any action on to insure he will become king, she has made comments that are in the back of Macbeths had that now are circling through his mind, in return making him crave power more than ever. She has used her manipulative power to persuade Macbeth in a non upfront manor. Lady Macbeth tries to guilt him , so that in return he will Kill Duncan and therefore become king. Lady Macbeth explains that she is upset that Macbeth would break the promise he made her. What beast was’t then That made you break this enterprise to me?And, to be more than what you were, you would Be so much more than what you were, you would Be so much more the man.”(1.4 .55-59). She obviously uses guilt to make him feel bad. We are able to see the impact that it can cause Macbeth by examining his past reactions by doing that we clearly know that Macbeth gets defensive and then hold his head up high. Lady Macbeth knows this ,and by guilting him , she can assume he will try to prove her wrong, and they only way he can prove her wrong is by killing Duncan. She has often time and time again tried to persuade/ guilt him and practically done anything to steer him in the direction of actually killing Duncan. The act indubitely shows the devious ways of Lady Macbeth. By saying to him “What beast was’t then That made you break this enterprise to me?”(1.4 .55-59) shows that she is using her scheming ways to enter Macbeth’s
