In Canada, finding any job as a young adult is difficult, and pursuing one’s dream job is especially difficult when looking at the several factors affecting one’s occupational choices. For example, I want to pursue a career in music, but this would not be considered the most ideal job for making money. Although my dream is to be able to pursue my interests, other important factors, such as financial support and the respect of my friends and family, must be taken into consideration. As a result, I am left with the decision to either pursue my dream career or pursue a career that would be considered more fiscally responsible and stable.
