To start of this discussion, I would like to mention the risks isolation causes to mental health. According to google definitions, which gets its’ sources from thousands of websites, isolation can lead to chronic conditions affecting all aspects of a persons’ existence. just imagine; what would happen to society if this occurred? Over half the population would develop life threatening mental disorders, potentially turning the world into a great anarchy. However, let us be honest; Not all of us care as much about the broader picture as we do our families. For any parent or guardian, the thought of a child going to school 6 hours a day for 12 years is the epitome of torture. As written in the website ‘health directs’, loneliness and isolation can lead to low energy and lack of motivation. As you could imagine, this would be catastrophic to someone’s interest in learning and life as a whole. It could lead to severe cases, such as depression, linking back to my first point. It would completely encrypt your capability to learn, not to mention, you wouldn’t be able to ask peers for help. isolation being the key-word. Well isn’t this just great?
