The Pros And Cons Of Increasing Minimum Wage

Many people want an increase in minimum wage. Well the real question is what will the increase of minimum wage will do to the economy. Minimum wage was to increase from $7.25 to $10.10, what will this $2.85 do to the world, 50.4% of minimum wage workers are 16-24 years of age. Most workers are part time, 64% are part time workers. Many people think that most fast food worker lives in poverty when really less than 15% of workers are living in poverty. If minimum wage was to increase then it would get about 900,000 people or 300,00 households out of poverty. This is great but less than 2% of the 47 million Americans are in poverty.
If the government was to increase minimum wage, then what would happen to our normal goods. If they had an increase of minimum wage then our fast food will increase as well by a dollar or so. Our food will also increase. Going out to eat will go up 7% . Many restaurants will have an increase of automations like a touch screen to order instead of cashiers taking order. So this question will solemnly be based on opinion and the mindset of the person going through this in their life. Another question that many people will have will be is if the minimum wage increases will the cost to go to college increase,decrease or stay the same. If the minimum wage were to increase then no it would not increase college tuition, but since tuition does not increase then there will be less on campus jobs for the students and that's no better than having minimum wage since there are more job opportunities that are paying
