As stated by dictionary.com, an immigrant is someone who migrates to another country, usually for permanent residency. If this is true, every individual in the Unites States today were once immigrants or were once born to one. Unlike other countries like Japan that are homogeneous, America allows different ethnicities and cultures to coexist and define America, unlike other countries where ethnic and cultural boundaries define them. This allows America to be rich in understanding, awareness, and creates a society that can scientifically, globally, and economically advance.
