For centuries, and since the beginning of its existence, the United States of America has been a country made by immigrants. The first people that populated and settle in North America came from the north of Asia and stayed by way of the Beringia land bridge. After them, many other civilizations have been traveling into the country, the most ancient ones mostly coming from all parts of Asia. Over the years the United States was occupied by many other civilizations, for instance, Spanish, Irish, Italians, Africans and many other cultures around the world. This statement has come of truth in it, it is true that given the lower wages used by undocumented workers some citizens are getting paid the same wages. But I would also like to remark that these people are not professionals, they are in a big majority high schools dropouts or low-skill workers. According to George J. Borjas, a prestigious Harvard economist, about six percent of the wages of this group of people, who are US-born workers without high school diploma, have been dropping down. Not going many generations back, we learn that his parents and ancestors emigrated from England to Massachusetts in 1630. From this example, we can learn that immigrants have also done many extraordinary things for the United States.
