Imagine being so young and living with the fear of blue lights behind your parents’ car. Many Hispanic parents come to the United States to live the American dream. They come aiming for the best for their family. Illegal immigrants having no licenses should be able to receive licenses; it would keep the family from worry about their love ones driving, help transport their family from where they got to go, and many workers can go to their workplace therefore our economy will keep growing. I know growing up I had fear that my father would get pulled over and not make it home that day. I can still recall one night when my dad got pulled over; I was so terrified. It was the worst feeling. I always thought if they took me what will happen to my whole family. I would feel so horrible. Immigrants are doing jobs that not anyone would do. They would do any harsh job just to provide for their family. With license they can go to any job and give you their best work. A recent article in the Los Angeles Times revealed that President Obama’s action to offer undocumented immigrants work permits and temporary relief from deportation will add $27.5 billion to California’s economy in the coming years. (Cha) Temporary permits have helped many families, yet they are temporary so meaning they will not last for a long time. Many immigrant family are here to raise a family so that is not temporary that is a lifetime. Immigrants are willing to work in whatever is available. They will do it so they can give their family what they need. I know many that work in dangerous weather and very dangerous.
