One of many rapidly growing crime in the United States is identity theft. This horrible crime is just not about the money also it is about criminal accessing to your personal information. According to the Insurance Information Institute (III), “The 2015 Identity Fraud Study, released by Javelin Strategy & Research, found that $16 billion was stolen from 12.7 million U.S. consumers in 20014,…There was a new identity fraud victim every two seconds in 2014” (III.org). Therefore, today’s consumers have over 10 identity theft protection services to choose from. These protections will benefit the U.S. consumers to avoid come victims of this horrible plague. For this reason, I have chosen my top three identity theft protection plans and which are: LifeLock, Identity Force and Identity Guard.
For this reason, I conducted an extensive research on my top three identity theft protection companies. I have chosen LifeLock as my number one protection plan because as a consumer, they have the best service for fighting identity fraud. The company provides three different types of protection that are affordable to the consumers. Furthermore, the company has similar protection as those two previous companies; except does not provide 24/7 phone support and does not have a sex offender registry on their plan. As a parent of a five old toddler, I would like to have that service as part of my identity protection plan. I need to be informed about any sex offender moving near my place for the safety of my child. Even though, this information is available on the internet to the public. I would like to have a continual update send to my phone or email. It is adding an extra layer of security to my family.
