ISIS is a well-known terrorist group that is known for kidnapping western journalists and aid workers as part of their tactics. In Arabic ISIS the well-known terrorist group is also called daesh. Hillary Clinton said that “It can’t be an American fight” but she was wrong, because if not us then who would take the fight to ISIS?
ISIS has an operation base that is in Iraq and Syria it is meant to escalate more and more dangerous terrorist offensive. Like any other successful terrorist attack if left undefeated it will cause an influence that will expand its terror. Allies such as France would make a big difference against the attacks on Paris with the help from the United States with 20,000 United States soldiers. ISIS is already planning an attack on Washington. Some will assume that our defenses are so powerful that it would be impossible for them to attack Washington. But we can’t rely on what we think we can do, we have to do a lot more than we did in 2001, because the forces facing ISIS are weaker and less able to work together

The terrorist attack in Paris should call for a supported emotional response throughout the west is understandable to get a helping aid against ISIS. Especially when just thinking about the use of force the importance is not to “do something” but it’s to do something about it at an affordable cost. However our military actions were so ignorant that it has made matters worse. Any offer for escalating the ongoing war against ISIS should take into a report that the results achieved through previous interventions in the great Middle East. In that regard the record was quite clear. In Iraq, Afghanistan, and Libya, among other places, intervention has produced not stability, but

The terrorist group known as ISIS (Islamic State of Iraq) was able to come into being due to the weakness of the surrounding Middle eastern countries along with U.S. hesitancy has created a group with violent plans to bring the world to islam, with fear tactics such as the Paris attacks. They have grown as a threat “as sophisticated and well funded as any group that we have seen” (Coll) “Frankly [it’s] embarrassing for the world’s superpower” says Juan Zarate of CBS Security Analyst “to say that’s where we are three plus almost four years after this conflict has begun” (Kaplan). For a while now, we have been conducting airstrikes on ISIS and have created programs to train Syrian rebels, but all of our mediocre attempts to help the situation have been “strikingly ineffective.” Unless we can produce a force that could combat the ever growing force of ISIS, the Syrian world will continue to be just as destructive to the world as…

ISIS and terrorism has gotten way to out of control. I think that due to the fact that it is so threatening, we should focus a lot more on defeating them instead of waiting. We need to strike them first before another 9/11 happens, or before they invade the U.S and catch us off guard. No more procrastinating, we need to go for them.…

They are going to continue expanding if no one intervenes, so they must be contained now. History professor Jeremy Suri says that sending ground troops into Isis’s territory would be a bad idea because, “President George W. Bush promised to “win” what he called the “Global War on Terror,” but when he left office in 2009, Afghanistan and Iraq remained violent nests for terrorist groups,” and he adds, “Obama initially increased American forces in Afghanistan, and he escalated the use of drone strikes. Seven years later, the terrorists continue to dominate much of the Middle East and Central Asia.” Suri is in essence, saying that we shouldn’t send ground troops to defeat Isis because we didn’t completely get rid of all the terrorists the first few times around. The thing is, we will never get rid of every single terrorist.…

Terrorism has been a terrible act of hate and violence against multiple groups that people have been fighting for decades to eradicate. ISIS is just one of the many extremist organizations that Iraq and many other countries have been trying to dismantle over the course of numerous years. Currently, a fight in Iraq is taking place for the anti-ISIS forces to take over one of the largest cities under the control of the terrorist group. About one million residents of the Mosul fled their city when the influence of ISIS was involuntary thrusted upon them. Thousands of Iraqi security forces, Peshmerga forces and Paramilitary units, along with a few hundred American troops, will work together in a fight that could take months to invade Mosul.…

Some think we do not need boots on the ground in foreign countries but to stop them we are going to have to. We need to protect this country before it goes downhill even more. Getting involved on the war on terror is not only imperative for our standard way of living this also will protect our future. WASHINGTON — In July, the Islamic State carried out one of the deadliest car bombings in Iraq since the American invasion in 2003, killing more than 300 people in Baghdad. The Pentagon responded by rushing a three-star general to the capital to offer the Iraqi authorities new technology, tactics and advisers to help thwart additional attacks. And in the weeks before the current Iraqi push to reclaim Mosul, the American-led air campaign against the militant group redoubled its strikes on car bombs and car-bomb factories. So far, the strategy has worked. The threat by the Islamic State, also known as ISIS or ISIL, to retaliate for the Mosul assault with crippling car bombings in Baghdad has been largely neutralized.…

All in all, the pure fact that articles addressing these issues have been published regularly for more than three years proves, that using military forces is not the right strategy to fight ISIS. We should slow down and think about what military intervention has caused so far. The following quote by Karl Marx might be a sufficient conclusion of my opinion: - “ Religion is the sigh of the oppressed creature, the heart of a heartless world, and the soul of soulless conditions. It is the opium of the people”.…

I have no doubt that having U.S. forces on the ground will work, however, I do not support a full on ground forces. A large force with their equipments and vehicles would require a base or two that would need additional personnel to provide support and security. A tank force or air force is simply too expensive and cumbersome in combat in fighting the more agile "technical" vehicles (pickup trucks mounted with a machine gun or larger weaponry) the ISIS member uses. In addition, a large force would also be viewed as a U.S. invading force that no Arab nation would welcome and this may attract more combatants to the area (maybe better rather than them trying to come to U.S. to conduct their terror operations). Lets say Iraq does welcome us back with a large force, once ISIS is beaten, would Iraq agree to signing the "Forces of Agreement," an agreement where any U.S. forces left behind would be immune to Iraqi…
