No one knows who is under the mask and something bad could happen to someone because of that. Approximately 2,000 children disappear each day, more than 800,000 each year (Beam). Halloween is mischievous because of its emphasis on violence and death. Psychiatrist Dr. Thomas Radecki said, “Every year film violence and real-life violence continues to get worse. We must protest and stop this growing sadism in our homes, schools, and on our streets” (Carter). Halloween is celebrated as an eve of All Saints’ Day or a day to make humor to face the power of death. Most parents are concerned that Halloween is sensitizing children by its glorification of violence, death, mutilation, and gore. Something else to consider is the number of accidents that happen on Halloween. A U.S. government data showed that, on Halloween, over 115 pedestrians that are under 18 years of age were killed between 1990 and 2010 (Painter).
Keeping in mind of a fall dance there are some children who have allergies and cannot be around certain things related to fall, like hay and there are certain things in corn mazes that kids cannot be around. Because of the fact of children having allergies one should not keep anyone out of certain events.
