I just read that HB 40 passed the house without a single Republican vote. Thank goodness it passed. It saddens me greatly that you would vote against something that benefits women. What is happening in Washington about women's rights is appalling enough but to hear of it happening in Illinois is even more so. I know the state is financially in a bind but if women's rights are not upheld here the damage from DC will rain down in the years to come.
I have not been as diligent in keeping track of bills coming through the state government other than the budget fiasco courtesy of the governor.
