Over the recent years you 've heard many different stories based on gun violence. These stories have varied from domestic violence too public shootings, but the one that made head lines and really got the ball rolling was a school shooting. I 'm sure most people have herd about about the shooting I 'm going to talk about. On the Morning of December 14, 2012 in Newtown Connecticut a man by the name of Adam lanza went into the school of Sandy Hook, he started firing on the students (Aradillas et al., Para. 1). After this happen there was debate after debate on wither or not guns should be illegal. Another case that shook the nation happened in a theater. In the town of Aurora, Colorado, On July 20, 2012 a man by the name of James Holmes through tear gas canisters into the audience of a theater and started firing causing 12 casualties and wounding 70 others in the process (Fortin & Kirn, 2012, p. 1). Now what I 'm about to say may feel harsh, but its what I believe would have happened other wise. Some people will argue that if guns were banned before that these shootings would have never happened, and they would be correct. If guns were banned before there would have been no shootings, but lets take a look at how these disturbed people would have seen it. Regardless of the ban these same people were still disturbed and would have thought it through, well guns are banned what else could I use? The list is very broad on what they could have compiled gas, fire, bombs along with a plethora of other items that could have accumulated better results than a gun would have ever received. Viewing in retrospect the handful of students killed could have taken a turn and taken the whole school out, or the 70 people wounded could have turned into 70 people that
