Gun Control is where the government restricts what guns you are able to own and/or carry a weapon they see as dangerous. In the court case District of Columbia v. Heller, Justice Breyer states that “DC gun laws are not unreasonable or inappropriate…”(ebscohost.com). That’s not true the 2nd amendment states “A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed.” This states that the right of the people to keep and bear arms shall not be infringed, having handguns and certain rifles banned infringes the right of the people. If the people who follow the law and don’t own any of these banned guns while criminals who break the law do own these banned weapons it can lead to people not being able to defend themselves. …show more content…
If guns that can be hidden on a person are banned than what’s the point of even carrying concealed. It would help the criminal because it takes the factor away of them not knowing if anyone is armed or not. Then you have open carry where the person carries a firearm openly and not hidden on their person. This is our 2nd amendment right to carry weapons openly or concealed.
