The Pros And Cons Of Gun Control

My first thought about how to stop gun violence usually is stricter gun control, but the more I think about it the less it seems helpful specially taking into account that in the states with more stricter gun laws the shootings did not decreased, on the contrary those states have more gun violence than the ones with less strict gun policy, but the fact is that the perpetrators of gun violence often obtain their weapons legally , so our focus should be in how to identify those are not qualified, physical or mentally, to carry a gun. Since people will always reserve their right to the second amendment when there is talk about gun control it will be a difficult task to sell guns only to the “right” people, most people won’t want to purchase guns …show more content…
The true is we should definitely focus more on mental health, but not because we believe that those who are mentally ill are more likely to commit a crime, because that’s not true, but having more counseling -and not only when you get in trouble, but in general- in schools can help identify certain behaviors that will eventually lead to prevent
