Did you know that 4,350 people in the U.S. since January 1, 2015 until now have been killed by guns, and gun related incidents (“Lies”)? Many people in the U.S. say that guns kill people; however, they are completely wrong because guns don’t kill people, people kill people. Those people keep getting a hold of guns still today. All of the background checks are not working. The wrong people are getting a hold of guns to easily these days. The people need to put a stop to this. The U.S. need stronger gun laws prohibiting the selling of guns to the mentally ill, criminals, and children. There are some pro’s and con’s to stronger gun control. Guns can be used for the entertainment of the American populous. Guns can also be used in hunting which is a hobby or way of living for a lot of people. Guns in that situation kill too, but people who hunt are not just hunting to kill something; they are hunting so that they can eat and save a little money. The reason they save money is because if you add up the cost of the gun, bow, etc. and the ammunition it costs way less than buying some beef. Should assault weapons be legal or illegal for the public? “ Assault weapons are used for killing and killing only” (“ Lies”). This theory is simply preposterous. Assault weapons are used for fun and entertainment. People have fun being able to do what they want with an assault rifle. Although assault rifles can’t really be used for hunting, but they always have other purposes. They can always be used for self defense. They can also be used to just have fun and go to the shooting range with friends. Also if the people who believe in gun control take away assault weapons, believe it will stop all of these school shooting and massacres, they are wrong, dead wrong. If they take away assault weapons it won’t stop someone from getting a hold of any weapon, whether it be a shotgun, pistol, or even a knife.
