Greenhouse Gas Nightmare
“CO2 ,No Big Deal”. Said no one ever! Elon Musk, the founder of tesla, paypal, and even more reputable companies, even said “We 're running `most dangerous experiment in history right now, which is to see how much carbon dioxide the atmosphere... can handle before there is an environmental catastrophe”(brainyquote). If you are the typical resident in San Francisco, then you may have heard that the State of California has declared a drought of emergency on January 14, 2014. One of the main reasons that California declared a drought emergency is because of the climate change due to global warming. Living in San Francisco, you should have an idea of how populated the area is based on the amount of traffic that occurs.

I know that this may sound weird, but believe it. Researchers from Bielefeld University conducted an experiment where they have 2 different colored boxes, one black and the other white, placing them in a sunny spot and a shady spot for 30 minutes. After 30 minutes, they record the temperature for each box. The results are what you would assume them to be. The black box in the sun had the highest temperature because “The black box absorbs the most light, and this energy is transferred inside of the box over time and warms up the thermometer”(Valverde 1). While the white box in shade showed results that were the lowest. As you can see, by changing the color of your house, the colors of your house correspond to the temperature in your house. If you want it to be warmer, change the color to black. If you want it to be colder, change it to white. Similar to the outfit you would wear on a hot or cold day. Although San Francisco isn’t known for its extreme weather, you have the option to change the temperature to your desire. Some days are hot and some days are cold. The color of your house plays an important role when it comes to reducing the amount of fossil fuel burned to create electricity. All in all, it may seem that our actions to reduce global warming may seem miniscule. Slowly but surely, our planet will see better days. There are many other solutions for this major problem of ours. But it’s up to you to spread the inform others about our circumstances and make changes to our environment. “People work better when they know what the goal is and why. It is important that people look forward to coming to work in the morning and enjoy

As discussed earlier, global warming is damaging the ozone layer and the sunlight is coming directly into the world. The ozone layer protected the human kind because the direct and scorching sun rays can cause skin cancer and other problems. This shows that the global warming is a serious threat to the lives of the people living on the earth. (Kahn) “The gathering risks of climate change are so profound that they could stall or even reverse generations of progress against poverty and hunger if greenhouse emissions continue at a runaway pace, according to a major new United Nations report.” (GILLIS) The countries are making progress according to their infrastructure and this is the reason that global warming is affecting the economic sector at a large scale. The major risk that the global warming is causing is that the people have to change their lifestyle and this is a serious threat the people are doing business, according to the climate and the climate change can be very serious to the lives of those people.…

However, scientists have found a number of solutions which when combined can help minimize the amounts of greenhouse gases emitted and thereby reducing global warming. Energy used to heat, to cool or as power in homes and industries greatly contributes to global warming. If applied, energy efficiency technologies let people use much less energy which results to the same or better level of service or product. This therefore helps in reducing global warming. Transport is another great contributor of global warming.…

Greenhouse gases, pollution, population growth, and industrialization are some of the major factors lead to global warming. Global warming is affecting ozone layer which saves human beings from ultra violet rays. Global warming can be controlled by stopping deforestation, lesser use of air conditioners, more use of solar energy, using CNG (compressed natural gas) instead of petroleum and diesel. Antarctica is the coolest place in the earth, but in recent year’s human activities has increased in Antarctica, which led to increase in temperature and pollution in Antarctica. Some serious steps need to be taken against activities which lead global warming otherwise the result of global warming would be against the human…

The more the factories burn fossil fuels the more pollution it will cause, meaning more greenhouse effect due to the waste gases that is produced, which can cause a climate change. To reduce the burning of fossil fuels, we should take energy saving in consideration. This is why energy saving in my opinion is the easiest way that we can do to help reducing global warming. One of the best ways we can do that is by replacing our old regular incandescent light bulbs with compact fluorescent light bulbs (cfl), since CFLs use 60% less energy than a regular bulb. Also we can turn off the lights and electrical devices that we are not using.…

We are going to go over the natural causes of climate change, what is causing the process to speed up, and what the people of the planet can do to slow the process. Global climate change is a natural process of our world. What happens is the sun brings its heat and energy into our climate system (Global Warming Facts and Our Future, 2011). The majority of the heat and energy is taken…

If the Glaciers continuously melt at their current rate; while water might be in supply now, the damages it will cause later will have a greater impact. Over population, as well is a more that is a factor of Global warming, because over populated cities do not contain the cleanest air, and typically have a thin layer of pollution in the sky. The gases that are trapped in these cities causes for more greenhouse gases to remain in the atmosphere, instead of escaping. Alter methods of energy are needed if we want to see a climate change. We need to make a switch to more clean energy solutions, for example the amount of CO₂ gases that are released into the air from Coal Fire Plants is equal to the amount of half a million cars, trucks, and Semi trucks.…

There is no recognition of this in government policies.” This group of minds have laid out an outline of why global warming is manmade. They argue that fossil fuel admissions have and will permanently change the climate of the earth. The rising CO2 levels in the atmosphere are higher than have been detected in 3 million years. According to those who believe in man-made global warming, within the next few years, emissions must be brought down to zero for the recovery of the Earth. “Affordable, clean energy is probably the biggest requirement that the planet has,” according to Hansen in a speech given at Columbia University.…

Hypothesis: The literatures has shown the evidence of the changes in climate and is due to natural processes and human activity. Some researchers are more assured that the changes in climate is due to human activity resulted in global warming. The human activities such as burning of fossil fuels has created the disturbance in environment and directly affecting the human health. The natural process has also contribute to the global warming. The world health organization made a statement that the steps or mitigation that can change the environment condition must be initiate as early as possible.…

It is released when oil, coal, and other fossil fuel are burned for energy that is used to power our cars, homes, etc. If we start using less of these things we will be contributing to stopping global warming and we will also save money in the process. For example, power your homes with renewable energy like solar or wind. Use less heat in your homes. You can seal draft and ensure its adequately insulated.…
