Imagine you are walking down the street, a street that you know very well. However the more you walk the more you notice something wasn’t quite the same. The road was no longer paved. There is not a single car, and you can no longer hear the freeway that was once as clear as day. The skyscrapers you used to be able to see in the distance are only a plain horizon. The buildings on the street are no longer professionally architected, instead all you see are tragic little shacks. You are confused. You are scared. Frantically you check your pockets for your I-phone that does not exist. As you rush toward what should be your home you notice more and more things. Things that were once there but now weren’t. Things that should have been but weren’t.

Think about it. Columbus came to the Americas trying to get to India, to you guessed it, trade for gold. He wouldn’t have come if there were no need for trade. On the topic of cultural diversity however, without it the United States would not survive. The U.S. is entirely a big mix of a wide variety of cultures. The United States does not have one culture, there are many of them that live in unison, and we depend solely on the help of other countries. You wouldn’t have these fancy I-Phones, and IMacs. We probably would have never even invented the typewriter. Which can only mean that everything will have to be handwritten. Globalization helps us to receive and give resources to help all the countries that we live in today. With globalization we can have more cultural understanding, and we could trade off ideas with each other giving us more and more of the technology that we love. Just think about the horrors that would come if globalization didn’t exist, the United States of America, our own beloved country wouldn’t even
