Gentrification can be a positive cause or a negative cause. Sometimes it can be both. Gentrification has multiple outcomes like improvements with the devolvement for the communities, it also can create revenue for the city, and want more positive outcomes. Some may differ to these outcomes and might think this is bad for the communities and thinking more of the old tradition and not more of the money it can provide for others. Old houses built in the early 1900’s could use some new-modern look to it to make it resentful for others to see and for a welcoming to the community. These improvements to the old houses can make be fixed up for the modern day making it safe to live in, enjoyment, and to keep for many more years. Buyers think if one house can be fixed up on the block many others will come in and help the town …show more content…
This can make the city tons of money by taxing on the property from the day it is being constructed till destruction to the building. The revenue created from the property taxes can help build a safer community, develop more schools, and help build parks to keep the kids busy instead of roaming around the streets. But, this all comes down to high taxes making it unaffordable to pay off. Buyers that buy the beat up house can get it cheap but after it being built becomes the prices to go up. Only some will afford the payments to the house that’s due. The expenses to the house might triple and might not even be well enough for the middle class families to live there. In conclusion, gentrification is quite new to this society and it’s slowly developing into the city and suburbs. Some are saying this will lead off to make a better community that fell apart or it can destroy families forcing to move somewhere they don’t want to be. Is this all worth it?
