“Breaking news! the world’s fastest man on Earth, Lightening C failed to qualify for the men’s 100m sprint for the 2076 Olympics”. It was a shocking news, but on the other hand, it was kind of anticipated as there was astonishing discovery that became available since 2060, which is the genetic modification. Although it has not been the most common and trustworthy methods for having children due to its ethical reasons, some people still insisted on using the new genetic engineering system to manually create their children. Not only on the athletic criteria, but also there were various changes to the society due to the genetically engineered individuals. Everyone around the world came to visit Athens to watch the game and the event took all the spotlights for few weeks before the game started. On the day of grand opening, every single broadcasting company in the world was broadcasting the whole event to the world. It was the first time seeing the all the athletes who were participating. One of the interesting facts about the Hyper Olympic athletes is that, not everyone participating the competition are sports athletes. They could be just regular students or people with having extraordinary abilities. Moreover, the range of the participants were fairly young; from as young as 10 years old to about 20 years or so. Swimmers were swimming faster than any mankind could ever swim; It was like watching human swimming with eels on their hands and feet. Soccer games seemed like it was controlled by a person just like in Play Station games. Archers were shooting bull’s eyes most of the time so it was definitely not an ordinary competition. The game itself was indeed interesting and fun to watch genetically engineered people participating the game and producing extraordinary results. But since the only significance difference between the hyper and regular Olympic was that the results were the only difference and athletes competing with each other was still same. People got bored very easily too. They were now seeking for something new that can stimulate their curiosity and excitement that they got from Lightening C competing with genetically engineered people. As this was the case, the Hyper Olympic, which was expected to be something very new, entertaining and fun to watch, soon became so unpopular and boring competition. The committees were also very traumatized by the fact that their tremendous effort, work, and expectations were turned down so easily. It was not their duty or means to satisfy the people’s needs, but in order to gain the support and attention from people all around the world to rebuild Olympic’s fame, they had to come up with something that can intrigue
