Fracking affects not only your home water source, but every aspect of life; human, animal, plants etc. I think that fracking is unnecessary because there are alternatives. Fracking on oil rigs in the ocean is more acceptable although it affects the ocean creatures. More regulations need to be put on fracking sites like the use of water and wastes that come from the sites. I am beyond shocked that a fracking site, or well, can be fracked up to 20 times! Over 40,000 gallons of chemicals are used on a well. I was taken aback by these facts. There are so many resources wasted in this fracking process. There are most likely better ways to obtain the gases that are contained underneath ground. …show more content…
This is a crazy high number and yet again I am speechless about all the information I do not know. Fracking is not a huge deal in the media. I think this is because there are more long term effects that aren't taking place now but are contributing to not only the destruction of the ozone layer but our entire world. The media chooses to focus on how electric cars are beneficial not actually harming us with the radioactive batteries it contains. This is the same situation with fracking. The media only sees the money and oil/gas that the wells produce. But they overlook all of the effects it has on everything. The workers of those wells are almost always unprepared for their job by not wearing the right equipment and safety
