The Pros And Cons Of Forced Labor

Forced labor is illegal, yet so many people are subjected to it. The majority of those people are migrants and indigenous people. There are about 168 million children around the world who are victims of forced labor. Over 85 million are working in hazardous environment. Nobody is around to ensure their safety because their employers know that they can always find someone else if that child dies ("Forced Labour, Human Trafficking and Slavery"). All of this people are vulnerable and taken advantage of.

These people are forced to work in various fields. 18.7 million are exploited by independent groups and private companies. 4.5 million of those people forced by independent groups and companies are exploited sexually. The remaining 14.2 million
