Are you sure? Are you sure that electronic cigarettes aren’t as harmful as cigarettes? Or is that what we are telling ourselves to make ourselves feel better? Electronic cigarettes were introduced in 2004. Normally, they contain glycerin, nicotine, and flavorings. Some people believe that electronic cigarettes and other smokeless tobacco products, like chewing tobacco, are less harmful than cigarettes, but the nicotine is still just as harmful.

Matter of fact, electronic cigarettes could cause nonsmokers to join in on the nicotine addiction. Electronic cigarettes come in more than 7,000 flavors (Krishan-Sarin). Most flavors are normally recognized as safe to use and safe from environmental exposure, but the consequences for repeatedly inhaling the flavors over and over again at an extended amount are unknown (Krishan-Sarin). They contain flavor chemicals, on top of glycerine and propylene glycol. Those are the same chemicals used in for machines (Krishan-Sarin). At high temperatures, carcinogenic compounds are produced (Scutti). Acrolein and formaldeliyde are two other cancer-producing compounds caused from vaping at high temperatures. Concern has risen among some scientists that prolonged exposure to the propylene glycol could lead to harm (Kesmodel).
