Edward Snowden Traitor Essay

When Edward Snowden blew the whistle on how the national security agency recorded phone records many congressmen declared Snowden a traitor who has damaged the United States security. What Snowden did has many repercussions for the american people, but many people still focus too much on him. Many claim he is now a traitor because he revealed very important intelligence systems that could put America in danger. But other’s claim that he has done a very good thing revealing what the NSA has done. Many think that what Snowden leaked to the public has hurt the United States. The government and many news source have called Edward Snowden a traitor beacuse they dont know what he has or knows but Snowden is just trying to help the public. Snowden does not even have control of the documents others now do. What Snowden has wanted to accomplish is done, he has informed the public about what the American govermnent is doing. This is no publicity stunt put on by Snowden to gather attention from the world he would prefer it if he was home in America but he knew someone needed to do what he has done. He did alert our enemies about some of our security systems but he also showed to the public what is happening were we can not see. The United States government has called him a traitor and working with Russians but what he really did was help the public decide its own fate. Snowden has enabled the public to decided if they are willing to lay down and be spied on, and not let the NSA decided if we are spied on. The witch hunt against Snowden should not continue what should happen is a fair trial to see that what Snowden was good by exposing
