The Pros And Cons Of Dual Enrollment Courses

The past few weeks we have examined the issue of affordability as it relates to the cost of attending college. As debates rage around affordability, the concept of concurrent or dual enrollment has taken center stage as one of the resolutions to curb the issues around costs. Political representatives love these programs as they reduce college costs, allow students to finish in less than four years and all but eliminates students having to retake college courses that they took in high school. As a higher education professional and parent of former college students, I have to also give the thumbs up to the premises of which dual enrollment programs are based.
