The Pros And Cons Of Drill Competition

Decent Essays
It was the first complete run thru that we did and the last one we had at the church. In my opinion, last night’s run thru might not have been at our best performance, but it gave us a peek and a general idea of how drill competition feels like. I realized that concentrating and getting our heads in the game can allow us to make less fundamental mistakes and perform at all to our potential. 12 Days, 3 Practice and less than 20 hours we have together before drill com. The pressure is on and as long as we starve our distractions and be focus, I can definitely see us winning as a team. Make it happen

This team showed great adversity yesterday. Now I know this game should not have been as close as it was and that needs to be fixed. But for this young Buccaneers team to come out and surrender a two score lead and still overcome adversity is an impressive feat and shows growth with this Bucs team. So many times in the past, we have watched our Bucs slowly self destruct and lose big leads and never get them back. Yes the Bucs should have blown them out, yes the Bucs still suffer from the kicking blues (as of yesterday), yes the Bucs didn't get a sack against a lackluster Giants offensive lineman.…

My personal motto is a quote from Mimfa A. Gibson: “Don’t expect mangoes when you plant papayas.” Through the turbulent and exhausting challenges presented in our everyday lives, it is easy for the correlation between preparation and achievement to become skewed. Current United States Army Ranger and member of the 101st Airborne division, Lieutenant Kyle Treece, helps me keep straight the path and live out my personal motto. By setting an example of discipline, determination, and fortitude, Lieutenant Treece inspires me to take advantage of every opportunity, and to focus my actions so that I may achieve my exact goals.…

Why were they so encouraging? Didn't we lose? The reason they were so proud of us was because they knew that we tried our hardest. As long as, as a team, you are trying your best, then you have really never lost. Now lets talk about the other end of the spectrum: success.…

So we prayed and the game started and we played nervously. My captain, Melissa dribbled down the court, looked to pass, and took the shot but missed it. Michelle also missed her fast-break lay up, and I missed my free throw. At the end of Quarter 2, it was like playing football because the scoreboard only shows 2 for Ipeka Tomang (my school) and 3 for Yadika. My First Dance Competition The first time I performed at a dance competition was a very exciting and memorable moment for me. I was six years old and insanely nervous. Typically the nerves hit me while I wait in the wing of the stage for my name to be called, but this time it began the moment I woke up in the morning.
