With 2016 have being an election year, politics are everywhere. People wear shirts, have signs outside of their homes, and often times discuss or argue about these with others. Personally, as an 18 year old this was my first year voting. I was excited and overwhelmed with such a decision. However, growing up I have always been raised to have particular beliefs and I have always stood by those beliefs. My choice was very clear from the beginning of it all. I was with her. I grew up in a very small town with a population of 1,300. Everyone from this town, except for my family and maybe a few others made it very clear how conservative their beliefs were. However, when this man became a possibility for president of the United States, many spoke out. They told their story. Trumps responses were demeaning to these women. Away from these events, he has put down women by stating that breastfeeding is “disgusting”. He has made insulting comments about women 's appearances with no remorse. His remarks about the LGBTQ commnity are completely against them having any of the rights that they have fought for for far too long to lose them after just being handed them. The stances he has places on people of color follow these in the same way. Basically if you are not a white educated male, Trump has an issue with it and has not been afraid to tell anyone how her feels. Personally, I still cannot understand how 42% of women voted for Trump (Tyson), despite knowing his sexist approach towards women, or that 8% of African- Americans still chose to vote for Donald Trump …show more content…
I see those who are currently sick becoming healthy. I see everyone coming together and caring for one another to ensure our country is full of beings who all have one common goal… unity. I have had a lot of issue with still allowing myself to associate with anyone who openly tells me they voted for Donald Trump and are now part of the reason why he is our president- elect. This is not because I have an issue with them as people, but for how much I feel that they blindly voted for someone that they are not fully aware of what he will do to this
