Donald Trump elected as the 45th President of the United States is the unexpected election result to many people. According to the PCC courier, students are allowed to skip the midterm exam because of the shock election result. The PCC courier also states that “According to the LA Times students all across the West Coast from California to Washington state vented their classes, and marching in the streets in full protest.” Donald Trump elected as the president is a surprise to many people because he won against Hillary Clinton who is the Democratic nominee and former secretary of state. Everyone was predicted a sure win for Mrs. Clinton in this election. With the surprise victory, Trump left wonder to many Americans. The Chronicle of Higher Education says that “…students, professors, and others in higher education are left to wonder how the business mogul and former reality-television star will treat college and universities in an administration that very well may proves as unconventional and unprecedented as the campaign itself.” Many Americans was also anger at Trump with the pronouncements he gave during the campaign. According to the Chronicle of Higher Education, “…he angered many Americans with pronouncements and policy proposals that singled out Muslims, Hispanics, and African-Americans, among other groups, and potentially frightening off international students…” People are shock and miserable to the victory of an offended candidate. There are several of protests that happened after Trump become the new president. In that case, minimizing the damage and harm is a necessary thing to do. …show more content…
