Republican Party bosses of New York eagerly nominated their governor for the position so that the state Republican political machine could be reserved and because vice president was seen as a dead end job. After McKinley was elected, the hope was that the former New York governor, Theodore Roosevelt, could no longer affect the state of New York, or the nation as a whole. Mr. Roosevelt was an active man that believed in exercise and the outdoors. When McKinley was shot in September of 1901 Roosevelt had to be found in the mountains because he was in the middle of a hunting venture.…

Bill Clinton. The only president to experience such extreme highs and extreme lows, yet receive a mostly positive outcome. During the 42nd president’s years in office the United States population averaged 280 million. The state of our health care is in jeopardy under President Trump. The new TrumpCare bill passed barely through the house recently amidst strong opposition from both parties. A lot of America, especially elderly and poor people, are feeling a tremendous amount of insecurity and fear about the new proposals. Outrageous premiums or even being rejected by insurance companies because of a long list of pre-existing conditions would probably become commonplace. Proponents of the repeal and replace believe that it would be beneficial to the market and would allow more competition, which would end up driving prices down, but I don’t believe these cuts would benefit the average American.…

When people began judging president Trump for the idea of a ban on Muslims entering the United States, he quoted as a relevant historical event, World War II and the proclamations issued by then-President Franklin D. Roosevelt empowering the authorities to send away Japanese, German and Italian immigrants. In 1942, Roosevelt delivered an executive order that sent Japanese-Americans, many of them families that had been settled in the United States for generations, they were sent to so-called internment camps established along the West Coast. Trump described Roosevelt's policies as "far worse," but history experts have suggested the former president's wartime decisions weren't a good example for Trump to use at all. While Americans initially…

The Presidency has several ways of bypassing Congress that are upheld by courts to certain extents. For over 70 years the US presidents have repeatedly used these methods to put forward agreements that benefit the country and have less chance to get done if done with the Senate’s approval mainly because of the collective action problems Congress, especially the Senate, faces. In 2015, the current President, Barack Obama, signed the Paris Agreement on climate change that requires countries to reduce carbon emissions with the purpose of increasing the global temperature to below 2 degrees Celsius. In addition, countries must report and prove this progress with actual numbers. Climate change has always been a very controversial argument especially…

In 2017, this person had made both a negative and positive impact on Canadian lives, and he isn’t even Canadian. From the time he was elected to now, Donald Trump has made a big impact on Canadian lives. From his ‘America First’ policy, the thousands of Asylum seekers, and his constant threats to kill off NAFTA, Donald Trump has both terrified Canada and made them stronger. The U.S. Congress does have the ability to enact effective immigration reform but in order to do so; Congress needs to refocus their views from being prevention oriented to assisting immigrants in entering the U.S. legally and for a lawful purpose. Immigration reform should provide for the ability for more workers to legally enter the U.S., especially in industries such as agriculture and construction which require a large workforce. The true crux of the problem with immigration reform is that it is generally focused on keeping people out of the United States; as opposed to welcoming them in due to the economic needs of our country.…

I would consider the article “ Donald Trump for President” as the more effective because it uses examples to support its argument why the author is voting for Donald Trump. The author mentions that Clinton will follow the same path of president Obama, and will increase the U.S’s debt. However, Trump will bring corporations, create new jobs, and advocate for lower taxes, and will lead to the prosperity of the county. Also, this article mentions the first and second amendment that could appeal to people who have a strong believe in those amendments, as the author mentions, “ The individual right to bear arms would be a likely casualty of a Clinton presidency.” People will believe that the amendments should not be change.…

There is some truth to this because there are some Mexicans who are not good people. Of course, there are always people who fit into those obscure categories of being drug addicts, murderers, and criminals, but it isn’t just one group of people; every race has their outliers. It is unfit to perceive one race as being superior and one inferior. Instead, they are all alike in the sense that they have faults, but they also have good attributes. As the saying goes, nobody is…
