Trump has very strong opinions and beliefs, he has made significant promises that could affect millions of people and hundreds countries. According to Linda Qui from Politifact (2016) Trump has made the promise that if he becomes president he would ban Muslims from entering the country, which would not only potentially affect the economy but also impact businesses owned by Muslim people as well as the Muslim working age populations. Another major Trump promise that has potential to affect business is the withdrawal or renegotiation of the North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA) and the Trans-Pacific Partnership (TPP). Under NAFTA the USA, Mexico and Canada agreed to eliminate tariffs on trade between these three counties. There are also agreements under NAFTA that make it easier for people who have certain professions to apply for work permits in member countries. Hotel Manager being one of the professions mentioned under NAFTA is directly related to the hospitality industry, If Donald Trump becomes president and he fulfills this promise it could mean the loss of existing or potential opportunities for Canadian and Mexican hospitality

The Pros of a Donald Trump Presidency American politics have always fascinated me. When people began judging president Trump for the idea of a ban on Muslims entering the United States, he quoted as a relevant historical event, World War II and the proclamations issued by then-President Franklin D. Roosevelt empowering the authorities to send away Japanese, German and Italian immigrants. In 1942, Roosevelt delivered an executive order that sent Japanese-Americans, many of them families that had been settled in the United States for generations, they were sent to so-called internment camps established along the West Coast. Trump described Roosevelt's policies as "far worse," but history experts have suggested the former president's wartime decisions weren't a good example for Trump to use at all. While Americans initially…

When talking about the political system, specifically the presidential aspect, a mandate refers to the authority that is given to a certain person or persons, which is governed by the people. So, for our representative democracy, a president, although may not be totally voted for from the public, is our representative. Also, when an election results in a landslide for one of the candidates, they often claim that their policies have received a mandate from the voter population. Although a candidate may have been elected and may have seemed as per a popular vote, it might have just been from other ways, such as the electoral college. So, in some instances in the past, such as president Washington, a president has been elected not necessarly by the people, but from delegates and representatives.…

The War of Politics: Liberals vs Conservatives Democracy in the United States American is made up of two main political parties, republicans and democrats. The common view of each party breaks down to liberals (Democrats) versus conservatives (Republicans) (Wilson & Dilulio, 2005). Instead of both sides working together to create policies for the greater good of the country, it seems that each side would rather dig their heels in the mud and take a stand that the other should be more like them. Before you can understand liberalism or conservatisms, you must understand the basic political ideologies in America.…

Illegal Immigrants: Targeted Demographics to Enhance Profits by the Business Owners and Smugglers George W. Bush in his 2005 State of Union Address stated, “America’s immigration system is outdated, unsuited to the needs of our economy and to the values of our country. We should not be content with the laws that punish hard – working people who want to provide for their families and deny business willing workers, and invite chaos at border”(Bush). Generally people believe that slavery was abolished in the United States by the thirteenth amendment in 1865. Many have argued Trumps leadership style, as he is mostly known as a reality TV star, and business mogul, yet many agree with his take on foreign/domestic policies. In order to help the economy, he has proposed to renegotiate foreign trade, making them more favorable for our country, and a 45% tariff on goods from China. His stance on immigration can be easily defined by the word “wall”; Trump proposes that a wall along the US-Mexico border paid for by Mexico, and banishment of Muslims from certain countries will render us of our terroristic problems. His stance on climate change is nonexistent since he does not believe it is a critical problem, if anything he would cancel the Paris climate deal, and rather support construction for a new oil pipeline to Canada. Our national security is one issue he carries near and dear to his heart, he opposes the ban on assault rifles, and has proposed that the right to carry a concealed weapon should apply to every state, as it is one of our rights.…

The majority of the presidential candidates advocate for immigration reform, but no one’s idea of reform is as interesting as that of Donald Trump. Donald Trump entered the race in late June and his campaign has been rigorously captured by the media.…
