First off, since 2007, 494 US deaths were from concealed carry, 27 mass shootings, and 14 law enforcement deaths (Huffington Post). The people that struggle everyday to survive or help keep you safe, are dying from these concealed carry crimes. Jared Lee Loughner shot representative Gabrielle Gliffords and killed 6 other people in 2011 (Huffington Post). This just proves how crazy these people are, and why they shouldn’t have guns. Concealed carry is a very serious case, and why it shouldn’t even be legal. Finally, in Florida, alone, there was 1,400 new cases because of concealed carrying being legal in all fifty states (Huffington Post). A staggering 1,400 people in Florida have actually pleaded guilty to their crimes, turning themselves in for abusing their concealed carry laws. Of that, 1,400 people 216 have wanted warrants on them, which just makes it scarier. And lastly, 128 of that 1,400 cases was from domestic violence, and 6 of that, registered sex offenders. It’s shocking how much one law can change this world.
While some may argue that concealed carry should be legal because it may lower crime rates. It is more true that it raises crime rates. Some evidence to prove this reason is that anybody can get ahold of firearms because of the loose laws (Smart Gun Laws).
To conclude, concealed carry is an absolute horrible things because it causes great losses, raises crime rates, and many people that get their hands on these weapons who have horrible criminal records. While the other side may conclude that it actually lowers crime rates because everyone can defend themselves, are actually wrong because anybody hurt these people. There is 6,824 crimes related to concealed carry in just 2 states, when the whole country allows you to carry weapons on you. If all the states had the same crime rate, there would be 327,552 crimes related to concealed carry per year, in only 5 years there would be 1,637,760 crimes related to concealed
