In the view of the whole vision of what this law could actually bring, such as more problems in day to day life or situations of tragedy. This law will affect people of the present and the future with this decision by the government. The law is only allow in certain part of Texas, which good but could be better but not allowing it period.…
January 1, 2016 the open carry law went into effect to the public after its first debut in June of last year in Texas. The open carry law has been passed in 44 other states not including Texas. The law allows citizens the ages of 18 and older to carry firearms openly with the fact Texas, a state of high crime rate, passed the open carry law (OCL). This law increases crimes such as murders and increases inmate population; the law gives the public a opportunity to make more poor decisions. Texas its self has enough serious issues as it is, passing the law puts us in a state of great danger; not only to the citizens of our state , but most importantly the innocent elders and children.…
Are open carry laws a benefit for personal safety or a threat to the average citizen? Indeed, open carry verses conceded carry has been a topic of discussion for quite some time, but has recently become the focus of serious topic and debate mainly because of civil unrest across the nation that has created explosive gun sales and forming new legislation. Consequently, many articles have been written about the topic both in support and opposition. The 10th amendment of the United States constitution should have contained the specific powers that are within the states themselves, but there is not an explicit example of the powers that should have been given to the states and should still be in effect within the states to this day or at least a form of which. Whether the powers were changed, eliminated, or remained the same throughout the years, there should have been at least some kind of form or documentation as to what the states should be able to do and what they would need the federal government’s permission and/or assistance to do. These powers of the states are actually the rights of the states that are supposed to be protected by the constitution. If the rights were explicitly…

Texas is a very oriented on the Bill of Rights, especially the second amendment. However, over the years since the Constitution there had been many laws in place to protect people against the use of guns and restrictions on owning guns. This year, in the state of Texas, the legislature passed bill that would allow people with concealed handgun licenses to carry their weapon on public college campuses. This is a good because it would help on self-protection and intimidation. On the other side, people with handgun licenses do not necessarily have proper training and can misuse the weapon.…

Concealed carry is a law that has been in controversy for several decades. A majority of people say that not being able to carry a gun is violating their rights. Many people argue that there should be restriction on concealed carry, and that our founding fathers could not predict how the future would turn out. Therefore there should be precautions put in place.…

There are many ways to prevent people that are not responsible, nor sane enough from owning weapons. Due to media, along with unstable people, carrying concealed weapons is looked at in a negative way rather than positive, thus leading to many feeling that weapons do more harm rather than good. Carrying a handgun is a right, a right that the people in our country fought for and are still fighting to ensure.…
Point blank, and the gun is fired. Aimed at the other person, whose hands shake with rage, or is it fear? Ambulances and hospital doctors go sporadic, only mere moments to save a person’s life. A school shooter takes the life of multiple students and then attempts his own. All of this could have been solved if someone was there to prevent the shooter.…
