He ended up staying in the hospital for seven months from November to May, and when it was God’s time, he went to go be with the Lord. The family had no idea that his time on this Earth was coming to an end, and it was a shock to everyone. This taught me that we may have plans for our life, but God has a purpose. I knew from this experience that I will follow God’s Will and purpose for my life, and my plans no longer matter. Having unexpected car repairs put you in a place to wonder if you gave a dealership your trust, hard earned money, and almost your life. Just before my family’s annual summer vacation to Walt Disney World in Orlando, Florida, I was faced with a failed transmission in my 2006 Nissan Pathfinder despite having numerous repairs done to prevent it. I felt as if the car dealership had failed me, for I was a diligent customer for over twenty years. I asked the question, “Why? My husband was working a very strict, and unchanging schedule with no available hours to pick up the kids. We had absolutely no help from our family, and it was a stressful mess, physically and mentally, and to make matters worse our schedules did not allow us to go church as a family on Sunday. I had many nights of prayers and tears, and soon my husband’s job ended. The first thing that would come to a middle class family’s mind is to freak out. In the fall, my daughter would return to her private school and my son’s senior year would begin. I knew that I would be faced with the many senior fees and college applications, and the rising price in private school tuition, but what the evil meant for bad, God turned around for good. Since my husband lost his job, my family began going to church as a family. We served outreach as a family. My husband was able to spend the entire senior year at home with my son to participate with all senior stuff, and my daughter’s school activities.
