The transition from high school to college can be rather strenuous. For Amber Lewis, she was aware that she must adjust to new beginnings and surroundings in a short period of time. She was excited to leave her little city of Sikeston in Missouri and move to Atlanta where she will begin her journey at Clark Atlanta University. The summers I’ve spent in Tonga were full of good, natural foods that were either picked locally or from one’s backyard. The ingredients used to make a delicious beverage called otai contains watermelon or mangoes, crushed pineapples, coconut, milk, water, and sugar. The combination of these different components made in Tonga gives a unique taste. However, otai made in Tonga differs to how it is made in America. The Healthy Eating Plate goes more in depth, addressing more nutrition issues. It says to avoid processed meats, drink more water, and specifies on what qualifies as a fruit or a vegetable (Labrie).
