The Pros And Cons Of Chromebook In Elementary Schools

My school district has eight elementary schools each with 3 to 4 sections of each grade level K-5th. During the 2014-15 school year, seven schools, grades 3-5 took the state assessment testing on iPads and one school used Chromebooks. After, receiving the data from all eight schools, a focus group was created that included elementary teachers, and staff. The group’s main objectives were to assess the delivery, connectivity of both devices and the student assessment scores. The group met and discussed the pros and cons of each device as well as evaluated the students’ scores.
