What is a leader? What is a boss? This paper will be constructed of arguments supported by evidence and reasons on what “The Amazing Maurice And His Educated Rodents” defines a leader as. Many people have their own idea of what a leader is but in this paper you will grow in a better understanding of all the aspects of what a leader is. According to the book, Darktan demonstrated that a leader doesn’t leave a man behind. Being a leader can be very difficult at times, you have to make hard decisions while the pressure of the people is on you. A leader Doesn’t have to be big and strong or have a loud voice. A leader can also be passionate and caring, quiet and simple, knowledgeable but wise. There is a difference between knowledge and wisdom. Knowledge is know things, but being wise is knowing how to use your knowledge. Before you learned, a leader is strong and powerful, but we can’t forget that a leader is also someone who can treat everyone as equals. In the book there is a great example of this type of leader, and that’s Dangerous Beans. On (Pratchett page 118) Dangerous Beans shows this trait of caring, it reads “Dangerous Beans padded over to the rat and sniffed it. The rat sniffed him. They touched paws. The watching changelings were astonished. Dangerous Beans was treating the keekee as an equal.” This shows how everyone is different in the way they act or look, but we are all the same. It takes tremendous charity and care to treat someone as savage as a keekee as if it were one of the changelings; leader is also someone who cares for …show more content…

If you had your boss yelling at everyone all the time I’m sure work wouldn’t get done efficiently. There is definitely a time and place for yelling but a leader needs to know when to stop ordering and start listening, otherwise they are just a boss not a
