Persuasive Cyber Bullying Essay

A child comes home from school after a day filled with rejection. He is certain that there

is no one at school that likes him and what makes things worse is that the rejection doesn’t just

stop at school. It keeps going through text messages and posts to his social media pages. He

feels there is no escape. This child gets to a point where he is deciding whether his life's worth

living anymore. Nobody should ever have to get to this point in their life. Most adolescents can

handle the bullying that goes on within the school because they usually have a few friends that

support them but there is no one to support them when they are getting bullied online. In order

Other ways that kids become involved in cyberbullying include: hunger for power,

giving into peer pressure, alleviating boredom, and thinking that everyone cyberbullies

(Gordon).

When adolescents get to the point in their lives when they are cyberbullying they are not

thinking about what the person on the the other side of their posts is feeling. The victim may be

experiencing hardships in their life that make being cyberbullied even worse than it really is.

This is why young people should be educated on the feeling of others. If kids were educated on

the feelings of their peers and what someone else may be going through in their lives there will

be less cyberbullying on the web.

Life has several challenges that aren’t meant for children to handle but more often than

not a child has to deal with certain issues. For example, a child may be in a home with an

abusive parent and he has to be the sole support for his family. He takes it upon himself to

become a protection for his other parent and make sure his younger siblings are doing what

they are supposed to be doing, so that they won’t get caught in the cross hairs. Essentially he

becomes the parent for his younger siblings and taking on this role comes with all the stress
