All the experiments done on animals are in no way beneficial to humans. Whether these animals have a good or bad reaction to the substances all the products will still go out on the market, placed on store shelves for people to purchase them. The cosmetics industry does the same type of experiment on animals. According to a New York Times article, L’Oréal, Covergirl, and Procter and Gamble, to name a few, are some of the better known cosmetic companies that do these types of experimentations. They are making profit from anyone who purchases their products too (Carvajal C1). A majority of people will have a product in their home that tested on animals. By owning any product that in any form tests on animals, one is supporting what these companies are doing in order to develop their products. In addition, as technology advances, scientists have now developed alternatives such as making human skin to test cosmetics and household products that were not available to them years ago.
