For years many people have been using animals to test drugs and products for humans. These tests are terrifying and abusive to countless defenseless animals. Animals used for animal testing spend most of their lives in terror and pain. I think animal testing is cruel and should not be legal. To start with, taxpayer’s money pays for these awful tests. In fact, more than 12 billion dollars in taxpayer’s money goes toward it. Using animals to test drugs and products is more expensive than most other alternatives. In addition, there are more effective ways to test drugs and products. Furthermore, animal testing is torture to many poor helpless animals. More than 100 million animals suffer and die each year from animal testing. Millions of animals
