Unnecessary Living Conditions For Animals

Improved Essays
Why must animals be in constant critical conditions when animals cannot even speak up and say inner thoughts? It seems that so many animal shelters have such unsanitary living conditions and any person would not be okay with living in a place like that. To be put to sleep is not a normal thing that one would do to the family pet. Animals have always been just as valuable as a humans, so surely it is inhuman to have the terrible living conditions that they do in animal shelters. There are so many factors that contribute to the deaths of animals every single day and society is doing nothing to prevent it. Since humans can take care of their own families are the animals not important or is it that they are simply a less important factor to consider. …show more content…

First off it is as simple as this: shelters are not suitable enough for animals. There are soaring temperatures that range from being really cold to really hot that animals cannot sustain. Another terrible factor is that animals have to also be put in cramped up spaces to sleep at night and sometimes to also spend the entire day (No-kill). Being in a cramped up space to sleep in is never fun and animals need to be able to stretch and play around. Knowing that an animal is unable to get their daily exercise shows that some animal shelters are not fit enough to be even owning animals …show more content…
Euthanasia can definitely be considered animal cruelty if the shelter has no reason to put the animal to sleep and also is doing it unlawfully it can be in risk to a two hundred and fifty dollar fine (Rice). If this rule is applied in all countries across the world that can be one less country to worry about. If this rule is enforced it will also reduce the cruel punishments that also of shelters put the animals through and it will be more of an incentive to keep up with the good behavior and no cruelty towards the animals. It is more work on the behalf of the government but it is also for a good cause and that money that shelters will be fined with can be given to other shelters in order to keep up with the good benefits, decent meals, and as well as reconstruction (Americas). It would be like a recycling process if this law was enforced. Once a shelter gets fined another shelter can receive that money and then the chain will continue. If a shelter receives any money it will be sure to

The first reason why I believe that euthanizing your animal is completely acceptable is if your animal companion is suffering, and you want to end their pain. “Is It Ethical To Euthanize Your Dog” by Elliot D. Cohen, he gives us a few examples that support my view of this argument. Case in point, Cohen says “Of course, it was ethical he was suffering.” (par. 4) Following after that, my family and I, we took our dog to the vet to “put her to sleep” because she kept whimpering all the time, and we knew it was the right thing to do.…

For many activists, it is hard to understand how inhumane it is to keep some animals as pets. “Animals,” as one activist says it, “are not here for our happiness.” While there is a substantial difference in how we raise animals (within terms of stray, wild, and domestic animals), there is no say in the animals life on how they should be treated. Finally, he seems to indirectly state some of the obvious logic that we are superior and it is only the way of life that we eat meat and research on animals to make life a little easier. It is possible that we can cure cancer or find a way to stop infestations, or even cause breeding to increase, which could increase the amount food…
