They likely have to start a whole new life for themselves when the war is over, if they survive. War is a traumatising experience that no person should be apart of. There are more ethical ways to solve arguments than war. Kids can learn lessons without traumatic life events. If all children were taught from when they were young that there are ways to fix disagreements without fighting, then they would grow up solving things peacefully instead of calling for war.
