2. For my non-probability sampling I would use quota sampling. I would choose a designated number of families who have adopted a child for my research and observe children’s behaviors as well as interviews with the child and adoptive family. I would ask children how their life has changed since they were adopted as well as ask the adoptive family how the child has change their life. Some families may not be open to the idea of disclosing their business but I would like to have at least ten families that I would study to see what the impact of adoption is in their families. Quota sampling will allow me to observe my number of families and receive the …show more content…
Both non-probability and probability samples I have chosen involve subgroups. I believe the quota sampling would be best because it involves all the aspects I need to conduct my research. It gives me a controlled number of families I will study so I don’t go off track and observe multiple families that are very similar. By me using quota sampling I can observe the families based on race, class, and environment including perspectives from two families of each factor. I could also look at families who are white, high-class, and live in a rural area but I could also do white, middle-class, and living in the city and the match ups could go on. I am controlling the number of families I use to I get the most information I get and am able to experiment with the various factors that would impact a child differently after
