Women should have the right to have an abortion at any time, even at a later term, during pregnancy for whatever reasons. In 1973, Roe vs. Wade case became the landmark decision by the US Supreme Court to give women the authority to get an abortion until the first trimester of pregnancy. [ ] Some protesters against abortion argues that women should only get abortions for reasons such as rape or medical reason that could potentially harm the mother’s health. In Texas, abortion is banned after 20 weeks or later term of pregnancy unless the pregnancy endangers the woman’s life, or a result of rape or incest. But sometimes, the decision to have an abortion does not usually correlate to health reason. Typically, in the US, the process of abortion is medically safe but if women are turned away from having access to safe medical care, women are most likely to go places where botched surgical abortions are performed. These unsafe abortions are usually performed by non-licensed medical providers or practice in an unsanitary places. According to Daniel R.
