In order to be good Muslims one must love the Prophet (PBUH). To love someone for a long period of time one must love the perfections of the person’s qualities.

He showed mercy to the point that animals would have protection in his kindness. One of the examples of when he show his merciful quality is when he helps the helpless bird. One day some of the companions were trailing with the Prophet (PBUH). One of the men took the egg of a bird form its nest. This made the bird angry, and the provoked bird attacked the Prophet (PBUH). He noticed the bird was sad and because of his mercy he asked the man to give the egg back to the bird as a sing of compassion. At this time period in history people found it hard to show mercy to even humans and the Prophet was already encouraging compassion to animals.
Today, we look back to the lives of the people around the Prophet (PBUH) and read their stories. But sometimes it is hard to grasp how much energy they had, to do all the things they did.
