Technology has been around since the first human being walked the Earth. Whether it was making the first fire or making the first wheel, people have been creating technology since the beginning. Technology is not some new phenomenon of the 20th century, but a progression of human efficiency. The definition of technology is; “a manner of accomplishing a task especially using technical processes, methods, or knowledge”. Technology is taking knowledge and experience that you already have, and applying that information to complete a task in a more efficient way. Technology is everywhere in our world from our schools, televisions, and anywhere in between is not just computers and complex network systems, it is also everyday things you can find around …show more content…
Technology also affects how our society acts because there are many things that we can only do because of the technology we have now. One of the most influential innovations of technology of this generation is the introduction of social media. We all know what social media is and what it is used for but perhaps the one thing it’s not really used for is politics. Up until now most politicians or government officials tend to stay pretty quiet on their social media until Donald Trump ran for president. Donald Trump can dedicate his victory to twitter because of his activity on twitter the whole world knew who he was and the press continued to cover him because of relentless remarks on the site. The American people seem less likely to vote for someone who is fully qualified for the position and rather vote for someone who is entertaining.Ronald Reagan is similar to Donald Trump because both of the candidates defeated more qualified opponents. Also as well they both used the fact that they were well known and entertaining to their advantage. The difference lies where Ronald Reagan was a movie actor who used his fame through movies to help him win the election and Donald Trump who was a businessman who used his fame through social media to help him win the election. Without the help of social media such as twitter, trump may have not had the attention needed …show more content…
In the last 30 years new technology has emerged that puts their predecessors to shame. Everything we use today is a progression of a technology of the past and the technology of the present will also be worked on to become more efficient as well. Cell phones, computers, the internet, text messaging, and software are just some examples that show how technology has made our society more efficient. Whether it is from schools, communication, or just reading your daily news, technology is everywhere. I believe technology has progressed in the last 30 years by becoming easier for everyone to do tasks at a more efficient manner. For example, I could go to the library and spend the next few days trying to learn about a subject for class or i could use the internet and instead of spending a few days reading it could be cut back to only a day or two. This is because the technology is so advanced that we can look multiple resources at a time and also find these resources at a more efficient time. Therefore, through constant innovations in our every day technology we can see how far we have come in just only 30 years with how much power we have with our technology, with technology the world is a much more efficient

Social media and its take on filtered content presented to their users is a big reason for a lot of people being surprised Trump's triumph over Hillary Clinton. Due to the controversial statements Donald Trump would say throughout his presidential election social media was masked with headlines about how many people disliked now president Trump. However as social media begins to play a vital role in our lives; I get worried about the integrity of social media. Until when will social medial remain neutral, as it has been for these years? I believe the high patronage of social media lie on how neutral it is. However, not all states are for social media judging from its impact on other regimes.…

These are the reporters who have sacrificed their personal life to travel with candidates “on the bus” or “on the plane”. Embeds, years ago, were considered the veteran storytellers of presidential campaigns. The media, particularly newspapers, had the tradition of sending the best reporters to cover the election; they would be selected based on merit and had to work up through different beats. Now, embeds are characterized as young, angry and inexperienced. This is for several reasons: using social media, now one of the top political tools, is a characteristic of the millennials and with inadequate working experience and the limitations of the campaign bubble, millennials are angrier when it comes to working with government officials.…
