The moveable pieces of the set made it fast and easy to change the setting. Many of the pieces of the background allowed the actors to stand or sit on. For example, the Broadway scene of the performance of “Springtime for Hitler,” the play Bialystock and Bloom produced, there were large stairs where the dancers and actors were able to line up and stand on. This allowed each actor to have enough room to perform their dance in unison. The large stairs also allowed the audience to clearly see every actor dancing. While it did have its awkward moments in the beginning with Bloom’s shyness and the older women (I’m a little scarred from some scenes), I loved it. It is a type of play that I would easily be able to watch again with the same, if not more enjoyment than I had when I first experienced it. I had little knowledge of the play going into the theater, which I believe made me enjoy it even more. I would highly recommend it to my friends interested in theater. Even if one is not interested in plays or theater, I think they would still love the play. If I were to create a comedic play, I would want some similar aspects to that of The Producers. I would cast people who I believe can both look and act their part so the play feels more genuine. I would create a unique set so the audience will remember each scene, like the Springtime for Hitler set. I doubt I’ll forget it anytime soon, and I mostly mean that in a good way. I would want my play to be rememberable by the audience, and hope that they would convince other people into seeing my play, which I think The Producers did an excellent job doing. If you’re into comedy, then I believe this play will be extremely
