The American Revolutionary became inevitable after the French and Indian war when King George III drew up the Proclamation Line of 1763. The colonists, having fought in the French and Indian War, and who had won the land now being taken away from them, had been under the impression that the land was theirs to keep and settle on. The colonists had fought side by side with the British army during the war, and were expecting that their victories had given them the right to the land they fought over. Contrary to their wishes, Britain decided to create the proclamation line to keep the colonists out of the lands they had just fought for. The Proclamation Line was designed by the British to create a better relationship
